Audit Server Alter Trace Event Class

The

event class occurs for all statements that check for the ALTER

TRACE permission. Statements that check for ALTER TRACE include those used to create or

configure a trace, or to set a filter on a trace.

Description

Name of the client application that created the

connection to an instance of Microsoft SQL

Server. This column is populated with the values

passed by the application rather than the

displayed name of the program.
