I have a goal that sounds a bit ambitious: complete a structured race on all 7 continents.
How it started
It didn’t start with a grand plan. I just started walking on my terrace — interval sessions, tracking distance and moving time. No fancy gear, no coach. Just me and a timer.
The progression
Walking turned into jogging. Jogging turned into structured intervals. I started tracking everything — times, distances, how I felt. The data became a feedback loop that kept me consistent.
Why 7 continents?
A race in Antarctica sounds absurd. That’s kind of the point. Having a goal that’s slightly ridiculous keeps things interesting. It’s not about being fast — it’s about showing up, consistently, over years.
What I’ve learned so far
- Consistency beats intensity — 20 minutes daily > 2 hours once a week
- Track everything — data keeps you honest and motivated
- Start small — terrace walking led to everything else
One continent down (Asia), six to go.
